Fire of Communion
During the time of our Australian bushfires this painting was a direct response to the heat and intensity of that time. A heat that forced a new way of responding to current global systems in place. Paradigms that indicated dysfunction.
The artwork has several circles around the Goddess at the centre who is representative of the earth mother, our planet that supports life. Whilst much of humanity has become unable to hear her language and communication, she has begun to turn up the heat in order for us to pay attention. She does this with undying love, hence the flowers that radiate and shower around her.
The hummingbird is a symbol of the ease and grace with which the nectar of abundance in life could be readily available to each of us if we simply listen and unplug from the matrix of our collective ego.
