The artist created this artwork to celebrate the beautiful figure of the feminine. His desire is to capture an image of the Goddess and thus rendering it as sacred. The paint in this artwork is thick and textured, rising from the canvas. Layers upon layers of paint add depth and substance to the image. A very painterly quality that bonds with canvas to give a sense of material presence and solidity to a subject that is often very ethereal. Giving form to an image and rendering it into a near sculptural experience.
