This painting explores the complexity of being human. What it means to have a physical form. The expression of the universe, nature and the body is perhaps is itself art. The painting is a tribute to beauty, an honouring of all the energies and polarities within life. The figure has welcomes, receives and loves the many dualities and is at peace.
The artwork itself was painted using thick gestural strokes of paint, with both a palette knife and a brush, building many layers to form a thick and remarkably solid surface.
